2001 Cadillac Catera oil pressure problem

when i start in the morning, engine starts rough ,
oil pressure takes a while to go up, while oil pressure goes up engine makes
a funny grining noise,
pressure goes back down when engine is hot .what could be the problem

Hi there,

get the oil pressure tested with a master gauge first, this will give a true indication as to the oil pressure, when this is know your mechanic can make a decision on what to do next.
