2001 Cadillac Catera head gasket

Is it alot of work to change a head gasket on this kind of car? and also if i took it to a garage how much should i pay to have the work done?

Yes, it's a big job. In fact, according to mitehell repair manuals, flat rate is 16 hours labor. It shows the gaskets at 33.99 each and that doesn't includ other gaskets that will need replaced.

Catera don't have problem with head bolts pulling, it is a cast iron block.
