1993 Cadillac Brougham V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

The idle on my 1993 Cadillac runs fast and keeps climbing after I let off the gas pedal. What should I look at to correct this

Hi:
It could be the throttle position sensor or the idle air control. Have the computer scanned at a nationally recognized parts store. Most will do it for free and if there is a code stored in the computer, it will identify the problem. That way we're not guessing and replacing parts that are not needed.
