1992 Cadillac Brougham fuel system

92brougham 5.0L throttlebody: excellent mechanical condition, easy to crank over yet takes a long time to start, then very unstable idle and wants to nose over (die) at slight throttle. Drives fine on highway with less power up hills. No pinginging or black exhaust, no backfireing, no overheating. I have never replaced fuelpump or any fuel filters. Ignition wires, plugs, spark is very good. This happened suddenly after driving fine and then restarting a few hours later.

The fuel pressure should be checked and the filter replaced as a matter of maintence. But have the EGR valve checked if it is stuck open it would cause poor idle , hard start and tip in hesitation. Also check for trouble codes. Let me know
