Ok i have a Cadillac and when i put it in drive he switchs to neutral in the middle of me driving i have to drive with it in 2nd gear it also kicks into neutral in 3rd gear as well.

It sounds like a possible loss or slipping of third and/or fourth. What does the fluid look or smell like. It is most likely internal problem with the transmission.
