Engine Performance problem
1990 Cadillac Brougham V8 Automatic 62,000 miles

My 1990 Cadillac Fleetwood has failed the state inspection. I know that there are some small holes in the muffler. Could this be the problem? I am not looking to spend a lot of money on this. Thanks.

The inspection station should tell you why it failed, and give a printout! Yes hole in the exhuast will be a reason for a fail result.
