I'm running rich, and black smoke. What do I adjust?

First, make sure the choke isn't sticking closed. If it's ok, there is an air fuel mixture on the front of the carb. Turn it in the entire way, and out 1.5 turns. Start there. See if it improves the problem. You will most likely need to fine tune it, but that is the starting point.
