My key broke off in ignition. So I stick a screwdriver in the ignition to start it. I have to hold the the broken key by the ignition when I start it up to the chip. I just lost my broken off key. Can I bypass the chip somehow.

Sorry no way to bypass the transponder in the key. However you could easily have a locksmith remove the broken key and cut you new keys to fit and then program them.
Not a really hard job. That is assuming the screwdriver hasn't damaged the ignition cylinder. If it has then it would be simpler to get a new cylinder and keys and program the new keys into the system.
