I just bought this truck about a couple months ago. It's always had a problem with starting and the key getting kind of stuck, but I normally can just jiggle it and it will start. However, the other day I turned it on, and it got stuck in the start position so it was making a God-awful noise because it was in the start still but it locked up so I couldn't take it out of start and after 3 or 4 minutes I finally went and did a battery disconnected to turn off my truck. I have taken the Tumbler out and tried to put it back in but every time I put it back in, I can start the truck and it gets started or it gets stuck and start mode and I have to disconnect the battery again to kill it or take the Tumblr out to lose the connection. So I would even be happy with just starting it with the screwdriver which I have but my car my truck only starts and then shuts off immediately because my security light is on so I'm trying to figure out how to start my truck because I need to go to work but the thing security will not allow me to do so and I cannot go by a new tumbler for the truck for another few days until I get paid. So, wondering if a new Tumbler will fix that problem or is it still going to get stuck in the start position when I replace it is there a problem somewhere else besides just the tumbler will I have to replace the housing? But my most important question is how to get past the security problem so that I can actually start my truck?

Yes, a new key and tumbler should fix it as long as the key is programmed to the truck, here are the instructions on how to change the key and tumbler out in the images below. Check out the diagrams (below). Let us know what happens and please upload pictures or videos of the problem.
