Buying through Carvana?

A coworker of mine needed today off to get her car she got from Carvana in the shop. Apparently has engine problems right out of the gate. Is Carvana bound by same rules as dealerships? Doesn't seem like a car with engine problems should be sellable?

And Apparently there were only 3 mechanics Carvana let her take it to (red flag?) and one of them was too booked, the 2nd was no longer working with Carvana, so really only one option. It all seemed really suspicious to me. Any insights?

Ignore car I listed. That's my car. I have no idea what she got.

Carvana is required to follow the same consumer protection laws that apply to other licensed used car dealers in the state where the vehicle was sold. But, unlike a new car, a used vehicle can develop problems that weren't apparent during inspection. This is the bummer from buying used cars from an online site. Call them and see if they will take the car back by telling them the problem, or you will need to deal with their mechanics, Sorry. Please upload a short video in your response of the problem, so I can see what's going on so I can tell how bad the problem is.

I already told you all I know. And she claims to know little about cars. She's a good worker where we work. I would hate for her to lose her job due to continuing to not have a reliable vehicle.
