A/C compressor pulley is bent

The pulley on the A/C compressor is bent. It is an older car so I am not trying to spend a whole lot of money fixing it. A new compressor will cost me a few hundred and a used is hard to find. is it possible to get a shorter belt and just bypass the A/C compressor?

Why not just replace the pulley?
I believe it comes with the clutch kit.
