I'm having to refill the oil every 1500km or so, less if I haven't been traveling as much. But I often travel a couple hundred km every few weeks, on top of my daily work travel in the city. There is a exhaust smell in the cabin, and my fuel economy is worse. I use synthetic 5W-30 oil

Hi:

Is there any smoke from the exhaust? The idea that you smell it inside the vehicle could indicate there is a leak under the hood. Have you checked?

Also, if you have a plugged PCV system, that can do it as well. I attached a pic below showing the hose for the PCV. Carefully remove it and make sure it isn't plugged.

Let me know how much it is using and if there are any visible leaks both under the hood and under the vehicle.

Take care,

joe
