Ticking noise when starting, check engine and battery light turned on?

Hey, when I started it started making ticking sounds. the acceleration was showing way higher than it was actually going and the turn signals and hazard lights wouldn't come out and then it stalled on me check engine light and battery light came on however battery light had been going on and off for the past week. Any idea?

This sounds like a bad battery, but we should check the alternator charging as well.
