1962 Buick Special noise in trany

I have a 57 buick and when i put it in reverse and give it a little gas it makes a growling sound but it still moves. What is making that noise.

it can be anything,it can be a planetary gear set, turbine, oil pump etc. it will have tocome apart to see.
