what is causing m car to over heat, but no check engine light has come on at all, and it only over heat if i drive fast. Mydad put anti freeze in it the day it happened but it still trys to over heat just a bit not as bad as itdid before. what should i do?

let the car overheat and then check your radiator for cold spots. Make sure the engine is off. if it has cold spots then it needs the radiator. if the fins are gren colored or very loose then it needs a new radiator. Also check to see if you have a bad thermostat. BUT if your car is making a cracking and popping sound in no way loosen or take off the radiator cap as you will get severly burned.....
