My ETS light came on today, and I have no idea what ets stands for. The light was accompanied by my check engine light, and i'm tight on cash, does anybody know what this means? and how it can be fixed.

I answered my own question, it stands for Enhanced Traction System. But my new question is, does the check engine light accompany the ETS light?

I've had the ets off light and check engine light on in my 97 skylark for almost a year now. I've had it checked out at 3 different places, and no one seems to know what is triggering the light to come on. I had the oxygen sensors replaced. You could have that checked, but my ets light and check engine light are still on. I was told to not worry about it. It's some kind of computer misfire I guess. They said to not worry unless it started to having drive problems. But yours might actually mean something. You might want to take it somewhere and at least have a diagnostic check done and then decide if you want to spend the money to fix it or not. I'm not expert. Just a thought. :D

I have a 1997 Chevrolet Cavalier, 4cylinder, 67,500 miles. Today the Check Engine light came on showing that the ETS was off. What does that mean?
