1996 Buick Skylark Heater fan

I have a intermitant problem with the heater fan. I turn the fan on and it works one day and the next day it won't. The check engine light is on and I do not find anything wrong when I put my enginine tester on it. So I just clear the code. The fan works andd the switch works. What else could it be.

Yes the heat does work no fan
