1995 Buick Skylark lifter noise

i just had my mechanic rebuild the heads on my car and after the work was done on the car i oticed a strange noise coming from the engine. my mechanic told me that it was the lifters making the noise and said it would go away. i would just like to know if it would go away and if that is normal after changing the heads on any car.

Likely he did not get rockers adjusted properly
