I just received a 1995 Buick Skylark with a quad 4 engine with 117K miles. The engine starts and runs ok, when you drive it down the road and give it gas, the engine has a noise. The previous owner had bypassed the heater core, but he plugged both hoses instead of connecting them. He also changed the fuel pumped and said it was leaking. I think the oil is getting fuel or water in it. I got the car really cheap and do not want to put a lot of money in it, so would you have any ideas on what might be wrong and how to fix it. THANKS

Hi:

Without being there to check the vehicle, I would say you have a bad head gasket. When the gasket fails, it can open up the opportunity for coolant to get into the oil.
