1994 Buick Skylark Hesitation

I inherited a 1994 buick skylark from my grandmother a few months ago with 45,000 miles on it. She had just had the belts and hoses replaced, and the car ran fine. In the past month, the car has begun hesitating at start-up, acting like it wants to stall whenever the accelerator is depressed. After a few seconds and the car gets up to speed, the problem goes away. It seems do this worse when cold, but has begun doing the same thing after it has warmed up. When it begins to do this, it helps to ease up on the accelerator and slowly press it through the hesitation cycle. Any ideas what it could be? Other than this problem, it's a great little car. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
