1988 Buick Skylark timing gear alingment

1988 Buick Skylark 6 cyl

i need help with how to align the new gears. does the two marks go on top of each other or is it the other way like cam gear mark is in the top and the crank is on the top or cam gear mark is on the bottom and the crank is on the top basicly what postion is the cam gear suppose to be in
