Steering problem
1996 Buick Roadmaster Two Wheel Drive Automatic 102,00 miles

The power steering works fine all but when the car is at idle. At idle it feels as though there is no power steering at all.

It begins to work perfectly as soon as the RPM's go up just a little.

This is a roadmaster wagon with as you probably know a 350 engine.

Thanks

Hi:
Does the engine idle around 900 RPM's? IF it's much lower, it could cause this problem. Also, is the belt tight? Make sure the tensionier is keeping enough tension on the belt.
