1994 Buick Roadmaster not speeding up and backfireing

1994 Buick Roadmaster V8 Front Wheel Drive Automatic

what would make my car backfire and not want to speed up. someone said it might be that one of my values on my motor are close. but im hoping not. this just started a couple day ago. i have changed my spark-pulgs and wires, pcv vavle, fuel filter.

Has the check engine light come on? Have you checked fuel pump pressure? Where is the backfire from the exhaust or intake?
