there for about a week, it felt like i was having a miss when accelerating lightly, i came home one day and now when i try to start it with the hood up, i can see a white looking puff coming from the front of the engine by the fan. i also noticed that there is oil in the air intake..... what could be the problem?

Check the pcv system to make sure it is not plugged.

Take a look for the source of the white smoke for any fluid leakages See if any oil contamination is getting on the MAF sensor. Use elctrical cleaner to clean it.

You may want to pull the plugs and see what they look like.
