1992 Buick Roadmaster AC not cooling all the time

My AC cools fine until I change speeds, either when I speed up on the highway or sometimes when I slow down in town it will stop cooling. (and visa-versa)
What might it be?

possible your car is going low on freon or compressor is wearing out
