location of fuel filter

I have a 1992 buick lasabre. all of a sudden while driving, the car will stop running. People say it could be bad gas. while the car idles it seems fine. after the car stops running, you can restart it and its fine for awhile. any suggestions? I want to change the fuel filter. can you tell me were to look. thanks mike l

they had 3 difernt locations for fuel filters.
1. in the carburator
2. in line
3. in tank

the one you might have is the one that is in line it
is usually mounted on the rear crossmember, or
just in front of the rear wheel on th drivers side.
under the car. sometimes hard to see
