1998 Riviera turns over and wont start. Not fuel problem, just has no spark.
Replaced ignition control module, but still no spark. Was told it was a crankcase position sensor but havn't changed it yet, is this likely to be the problem?

Yes, a faulty crank position sensor could cause a no spark issue. Before purchasing and replacing parts, check the wiring of the sensor for shorts/open circuits and loose fittings. Also inspect all fuses and relays.
