CAR WONT START RIGHT A WAY. NEED TO LEAVE KEY IN THE IGNITION (OFF POSISTON) FOR 15 MIN UNTIL THE SECURITY LITE GOES OFF AND THEN THE CAR WILL START AND RUN OK UNTIL YOU TURN OFF THE CAR AND YOU HAVE WAIT 15 MIN BEFORE RE-START (SOMETIMES).

WONT LIKE TO KNOW HOW TO DISARM.

THANK YOU

No there is no way I can see to bypass the Pass Key. However it probably needs a new key (from the dealer). See the key has a resistor pellet in it and the lock cylinder reads the resistor pellet and sends the signal to the decodor module and that tells the PCM and the starter that everything is good go ahead and start. Make sure you take the last 8 of the vin with you if you can't take the car and the key so they can see what the resistance is for your car.

HAD SECURITY MODULE AND KEY CYLINDER REPLACED O7/03/03. WHY IS STARTING AFTER 15 MIN DURING THE TIME THE KEY IS IN THE IGN IF THE PASS KEY OR CYLINDER IS BAD? THE ENGINE WAS REPLACE 12/04/07 AND THE CAR HAS BEEN SITTING AFTER PUTTING ABOUT 200 MILES ON NEW MOTOR?

THANK YOU

Ok let me ask a question that I should have already asked and haven't. You say you have to wait 15 min or so before it will start right? Does the engine turn over during that time and just won't start, or does it do nothing at all?

OK looking over the wiring diagram the key talks to the pass lock module and then that gives the PCM the go ahead and it starts and runs. So with that there is two wires for the key in signal from the switch to the pass lock module. One is purple with white and one is black with white. Now I would ohm the key and then call the dealer with the last eight of the vin and see if that is correct. Then with a digital multi meter I would hook up to the yellow wire with the black stripe coming out of the pass lock module and going to the starter relay on the left side of the column near the bottom and see if there is power there when the key is in the start possition. Let me know what you find.
