1993 Buick Riviera heater core replacement instructions

93 Rivera has fumes and condensation coming from heater vents and defroster. One can smell coolant as this happens. Can you provide hearer core replacment instructions. Coolant level good, thermostat good water pump appears to wok fine.

Looks like you may have some recalls on your vehicle. The dealer may fix these for free. Please contact the dealer service department, give them the VIN number of your car and have them check on these to see if they apply to you. I have attached those at the end.

Remove or Disconnect

Disable the SIR system.
Battery negative (-) cable.
Partially drain coolant.
Console and instrument panel.
Programmer and electrical connectors.
Electrical connections from BCM.
BCM and mounting bracket.
Electrical connections from PCM.
PCM and mounting bracket.
Heater core cover.
Inlet and outlet heater hoses from heater core.
Two heater retaining screws.
Heater core from vehicle.

Install or Connect

Heater core to heater case, securing with two screws.
Heater core cover.
PCM mounting bracket, PCM and electrical connectors.
BCM mounting bracket, BCM and electrical connectors.
Programmer and electrical connections.
Instrument panel and console.
Inlet and outlet heater hoses to heater core.
Battery negative (-) cable.
Refill cooling system.
