Transmission problem
1993 Buick Riviera 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 140k miles

The automatic transmission needs replaced in my 93 Buick Riviera. I want to pick up a used transmission to put in this car. Will any other year besides a 1993 transmission fit this car. I have been told that the 93 tranny is a one of a kind and any other year won' work. Thank you for any help you can give me.

when you call the junk yard , they should know what and what not will work. Or any transmission shop usually will tell you as well.....
