I'm having problems shifting out of park when I start the car. After trying several times, the shifter finally works. I never have problems shifting to/from R & D.
It only happens when I'm trying to shift out of park.
Any ideas?

First, make sure the brake lights are working correctly. The brake light actuates the parklock solenoid. If it doesn't ou can't shift from park.
