Sounds like you're losing a ground at that light. Do you have access to a DVOM? If so, take the bulb out of it's socket, exposing the contacts for the bulb. Turn the lights on and see exactly how much voltage you're getting at the socket. Should be close to battery voltage. Use a regular test light, grounded to the chassis of the vehicle or somewhere you KNOW is a good ground and have a helper apply the brakes. Does the test light get bright or is is dim, as well? Check it on both sides so you're able to compare if it's not really obvious. Try this. If the test light gets real bright, but the bulb doesn't, you have a ground problem. Get back with the results and well walk through fixing it, no matter what it is.
