2004 Buick Rendezvous headlights and dashlights flashing of

Our 04 rendevous lights started flashinf off and on with the headlight control turned to automatic. If you turn it to park, it stops. If you just turn the headlights on, it stops, but the battery will run down. This is a new one on me. I have never seen a car do this before. When the lights flash, it is all of the lights, dash, radio, door panel, steering wheel, ect. Can you help? Thanks, Barry Hardgrave

We had one a while back that we had sold that had the same issues. Ended up replacing the BCM, we found that the placement of it(in the centre console below the radio) and the ducting of the HVAC system caused it to get really warm and affected the lights at that point. I even went to the trouble of removing the BCM from it's case replugging it in and taking a heat gun and warming up, this cause the same issue to happen. We ordered up a BCM and had it programmed, No more problems!
