I JUST SPENT 1462.00 TO REPLACE THE COMPRESSOR,ACCUMULATOR,EXPANSION VALVE,AND OF COURSE FREEON AND OIL....IT HAS BEEN NEAR 100 TODAY AND IN MY CAR IT FELT LIKE 85, IT WAS HOT, AND THIS SHOP IS OPEN 7 DAYS A WEEK SO I TOOK IT BACK TO THE MAN.HE SAID IT WAS READING 70 WITH THE TEMPERATURE GAUGE BUT THE PRESSURE WAS NOT RIGHT WHEN HE HOOK UP HIS MACHINE SO HE PULLED THE A/C BACK DOWN AND RECARGED IT..AND I COULD NOT TELL THE DIFFERENCE...WHAT SHOULD MY CABIN TEMPERATURE READ ??COMMING OUT OF THE VENTS...???

Hi there,

The vent temp is not the correct way to check the performance of the A/c, this should be done with a wet/dry bulb thermometer in the foot well, the AS/C tech should know this, i would also ensure that the blend doors are working correctly, heater valve is not leaking and system is on recirc and not out side air.
