5 days ago the car died with a service engine soon light. Started and died; over and over. I was able to keep it running and drive it back home as long as I kept my foot on the accelerator and kept the rpm's above 1500.
I took it in to the local dealership. They diagnosed the problem as the Mass Air Flow Sensor. I replaced the MAFS and reset codes. It worked for a day then the same problem occured, coded as the MAFS again. I replaced the MAFS once more and reset via the battery this time. A day later it did it again. Someone told me it 'could be' the IAS (Idle Air Contol Sensor/Motor). After replacing the IAS and resetting codes it worked fine for half a day and it died and repeated the problems again! I took off the MAFS again and noticed one of the 3 prongs was bent back. I replaced the wiring and lead and replaced the MAFS for the 3rd time, reset codes and drove it for a good 30 miles both highway and city. It worked just fine. I took it in to a local auto parts place to look at codes. They were fine. I took it home thinking it was finally fixed. It sat idling in the driveway for 5 minutes and died. I am at my whits end! What could this be? I'm wondering if it has anything to do with the fuel system since I've had a couple different readings on the fuel gauge. PLEASE HELP!!

The last time it died, did the check engine light come on again with a code for the MAF sensor?
