As a 50's something, Dad can I still change the plugs and plug wires on my daughters 2002 Rendevous myself ? I don't know if I can reach the rear plugs on the V-6 engine. She's bought it used and is geting bad gas mileage.
Also, Pep Boys ran the codes because she has the Check Engine light on. They found codes, P0300 Misfire, P0440 Evap Leak, P1189 Oil Pressure switch circuit.
Would any of these cause poor gas mileage?

A new oil pressure switch will fix the p1189 code. The p0440 code should be checked at the dealer. It takes specialized equipment to test the EVAP system. The plugs and wires might take care of the p0300 code. Be sure to inspect the ignition coil towers for any corrosion.
