2002 Buick Rendezvous Smoke Through Vents

The first time I turned my heat on this year, I noticed a funny smell and smoke coming through my heater vents. Every since, even with my temperature level set to cool, I can still smell it and smoke still comes through. Any suggestions?

If it doesn't smell like burned wire-Inspect behind the dash -could be a leaking heater core or the AC evaporator
