I saw your response to someone else's question about the car not starting after short trips. Mine has been doing it for months, leaving me stranded.

Have replaced the fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel pump switch and now the dealership is saying it is the Cam Sensor. Your advise is different. Could you confirm what will actually solve the problem once and for all?

Apparently this car has a lot of issues and mfg problems from the beginning that we owners have found out about by problems.

When this happens, does the check engine light come on? It should if the cam sensor fails. Have they checked fuel pump pressure?

I have the same problem.I know that something is not sending the signal to supply fuel(i can hear the fuel pump running). When the vehical won't start it will just turn over because fuel isn't being sent. And when it does finally start I can hear a click and then the fuel going through the rails. When I took it in I was told that my cam sensor was working but the pcm either isn't recieving the signal, or isn't processing the signal. They checked fuel pressure, spark, etc. Can the lack of a cam sensor signal actually cause the vehical not to start? I have heard that it should still start
Could the c-305 connector cause the same issue?
