2004 Buick Regal Engine quit sometimes when applying turn s

2004 Buick Regal 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

This is annoying situation and is occurring only when I use the turn signal left or right. It happens a couple times a week and then nothing for a month. I can almost immediately restart the engine while in P or N but the turn signal handle must be disengaged - otherwise no go. I opened the part of the cover but nothing obvious visually.
Help!

Well, after about 6 months I replaced a burned out position light bulb and the problem disappeared.
Isn't that weird or what?
