2000 Buick Regal Brake Lights

2000 Buick Regal 6 cyl Automatic 84564 miles

When i shut my car off and lock it usually my brake lights shut off since they are automatic lately once ina while they will stay on then my car dies completely because of it. what could be the problem?

If the brake lights stay on, of course it will drain the battery. The brake should turn off as soon as you remove your foot from the brake pedal. If it doesn't, you may to check the brake switch, locating at the top of your brake pedal.
