1999 Buick Regal Rear view mirror

My rear view mirror in my 1999 Buick Regal GS was nice enough to fall off my windshield this morning. I would to replace it but cannot figure out how to take the button off... Is there a way?

you can purchase repair kits for this issue at local auto part store. if you want to replace the entire assembly including button then you will have to pry off button and clean residue left behind from the adhesive.
