1998 Buick Regal wont start

Car was running fine. Had a cat get under my hood and when I cranked it it knocked the belt off so I turned it off and it will not crank backup put a new belt on

Chances are it knocked the crank sensor off or damaged the wiring to it. I believe the sensor is on the timing chain cover near the crank pulley. Also, to confirm that this may be the problem, check to see if the engine is getting spark. If it isn't, that is where I would start.

I'll bet the car didn't look too good.
