Hey Guys,

I have a 98 Buick Regal that I'm scratching my head about. About 3 months back I had an issue with it when I used the turn signal, the engine would cut off...which was fun at intersections. Took it to the dealer and they replaced the ignition switch in the steering column and that fixed the problem but I paid about $600 to find out the part and work were actually easy to do. Anyhow, I now have a different problem. Whenever the car gets up to temperature it won't idle. When it's cold it runs fine but when it gets up to temp it starts to cut off. It cranks back up fine but I have shove it in neutral and hold the gas to keep it going when I stop. Looked online and found out that the problem could be the Idle Air Control Valve...went to Advance bought a new one. Took the old one off and it had a lot of carbon on it, put the new one on and it ran for about 5 minutes and cut off again. A friend of mine at work said he had the same problem with his Regal and that he replaced the Ignition Control Module and that fixed his problem. Do you guys think that could be it or something else? That's not a cheap part so I just wanted to get some more advice before I start taking coils off and drop $250 on a part. Any help/advice you can give is much appreciated.
