1998 Buick Regal replacement

I have a 98 buick regal gs and i love it and don't have many $$$, the engine is gone and I wish to find a used engine from a salvage yard. What years of 3.8 supercharged buick engines can I look for that is the easiest for my mechanic to drop in?

im not exactly sure which years will fit that car, i believe as early as 96 would bolt up.... i may be wrong.... being a 3.8 the intake gaskets always leak, and if you buy an engine from the boneyard, you have no way of knowing if the supercharger is good... the charger is ran on its own belt, and they can be tempermental...
