I am looking at 2 vehicles both of them in great condition.
1) 1998 Buick Regal with 51k miles for $7,000.
2) 2003 Buick Lesabre Limited with 43k miles for $10,000.

From your experience which of these cars is going to give me better value in terms of cost of repairs and quality of build and durability for someone that drives 20k miles per year? Is a 1998 too old of a vehicle to purchase at that price point?

Thank you so much.

I would probably go with the newer one. They are built on similar platforms, but the newer one would probably be the better deal.Do a complete Car-Fax on it and have a shop inspect it for any damage that may not show up on the search, if someone wrecks the car and pays cash to fix it, the repair wont show up on the Car-Fax, so use a shop you trust to inspect it
