nightflyer it is a fuel pump resister and is dealer only. its not expensive. how the system works is as follows. the supercharged engine needs a lot of fuel volume when running at wide open throttle but doesnt need much when idling or part throttle. so when idling the fuel pump relay directs the power through this resister to drop the voltage at the pump so it wont burn out and lets the fuel presuure regulator keep the pressure even. when you jab the gas the power is directed straight to the pump, bypassing the resister to give the pump full power. does this make sense? the supercharged engine is the only one with this resister thats why noone knows about it. i dont know how old you are but if you remember the old chryslers with a ballast resister in the ignition system. this resister looks exactly like it.
