1996 Buick Regal Question about brakes

Brakes problem
1996 Buick Regal 4 cyl Automatic

Recently my car has been making grinding and screeching noises every time I step on the brakes. It lead me to believe it is a problem with the brakes, but I'm not exactly sure what section of the brakes there is a problem with. Check the brake fluid and it seems level, but I'm afraid to check the brake lines and pads myself to further investigate. Just asking if the noises predetermine what problem there is with my car before I head to a mechanic. Thank you.

Either the brake sensor is touching the rotor to tell you brakes are needed, or you already need brakes. If you want to try it yourself, let me know. We have the "How To" video and directions. You may be surprised how easy it really is to do. Also, front brake pads will most likely only cost around 20 dollars rather than paying someone around 150.00, and if you have questions, I'll do my best to help.
