1996 Buick Regal No drive or reverse

Transmission problem
1996 Buick Regal 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

Drove to the city with no problems. When I started the car to go home shifted in reverse and nothing. Same when I shifted in drive. Would a trans go out that quick without any indication? Could this be electrical?

Hi there,

This could be electrical, so a scan will be a good place to start, failing that you will have to get the line pressures checked to make sure that the pump and torque converter are OK, start here.
