1996 Buick Regal acceleration

my car stumbles when its at 2500 rpms, when i floor it it wont do nothing. so i use the cruise control to accelerate. when i turn the car to on i can hear the fuel pump pressurize, so im guessing its not the pump. Also this only happens sometimes. what could it be?

Find the throttle position sensor and test its closed and wide open throttle position voltages could have a weak spot to it.
