Engine Mechanical problem

What are the proper oil pressure gauge readings? On my oil odometer the needle sticks to 40. But lately it goes a little beneath that between 0 and 40. What does that mean?

Thanks.

Hi there,

I would first get the oil pressure tested with a mechanical gauge, as your sender or dash gauge may be faulty, normal oil pressure is 15Psi @ 1100RPM hot.
